This is one of my favorite pics of mommy and Raygie!!! Look at the pose on Raygen and how proud she is of her bow that is equally as big as her head! haaaa
I think she definitely does have daddy's nose!! Raygen loved showing off her new outfit for Christmas Eve as well as the oh so cute jacket that matched... Her first Christmas has past and we have collected so many great memories, although as I write she is being a little fuss bucket with whoever holds her...I think she is holding out for a piece of daddy's birthday cake from yesterday!!!!
Raygen's 1st Radio Flyer from Annie. She was posing like a little model! She loved sitting in her all terrain wagon. She can't wait to go in walks in her new wagon...she has to get a little bigger, but pretty soon! Thank you Annie for my present, I will you use it for many years to come.

Family Photo Christmas Eve: We went to Nana's house in Sugar Pine. She had her first gift exchange. She loved playing with the paper. She got a brand new outfit from Elise and Jaime for christmas with a little pink pea coat, which was too cute! She definitly had a good time and a good christmas Eve!

Ryan and Raygen in her first snow. We had a lot of snow to play in, so much snow that we had no school for 2 days. We also had no electricity for the most part. She got scared at night because it was so dark in the house and we just had candle light. She just loved watching the snow fall when we took her outside.

Good Morning Everybody!!

Raygen decided she wanted to leave a message to all of those that love her this morning! Any help on decoding it would be appreciated! Seems as if there are a lot of da da's coming!!! I've been working on her "MMM" sounds, sorry mommy she is just not taking to that idea :) As I've been typing this she's telling me that her agent called and I must work something out with him first before she appears on the Internet!!!! She's big-timing us already. She's also beginning to boss people around like someone else we know!! haaaaa -Dad

Time Flies!

It's definitly fall time around here...leaves falling, but we've had perfect weather.... 70's everyday. We can't put away our summer clothes just yet. We are all adjusting to mom and dad working full time and little Raygen being shuffled around. Raygen stays with family during the week. Between my aunt, grandma florence (gram) and my parents (mi mi) and mat she is well taken care of. Although I miss her during the day it makes the time I spend with her extra special. Plus, she is getting to know all her family very well! She gets spoiled everyday, which is just fine with me.

Saturday we took Raygen downtown Groveland where all the kids trick or treat and walk around the businesses. I didn't see one other skunk downtown. She did really well. She was kinda sleepy but enjoyed staying up high in daddys arms watching all the movement.
Ryan is putting in our hardwood floors right now, so we took a picture of the entry way progress, the nail gun scares Raygen so we have to do it when she's playing in her room or I take her somewhere. She will be crawling on them soon, so we are trying to get them down so it's not sub floors she's on.
In the morning we play with her before we have to go to work and take her to wherever she is going in the morning. This is a picture of her playing with daddy in the morning...she is usually really happy in the morning. She loves wearing her pajama sleepers at night and I always put a little hat on her before I take her out in the morning.
She is now eating pears, bananas, rice cereal, and peaches and she drinks some dilluted apple juice in her sippee cup. She is getting to be a "big girl" now. Love it!!!

Fun in the TUB!!!!

This is a recent video from Raygen in the bathtub enjoying a water workout to the sounds of the duck. She really gets after it in the tub, ever since she was born! I'm guessing Dr. Clinite was correct in stating that this one was going to be a swimmer!! Just look at her kicking away, sometimes I wonder about her smashing her head into the side of the tub she is kicking so hard! She does let us know she is having a blast with the smiles though!!!! Enjoy your viewing ;)

I have 2 sets of Great Grandparents!!! & they love me

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREAT GRANDPA!!!!!!!

Great Grandpa Dave got a birthday visit from little miss Raygen. She brightened his birthday day! She was talking to him and in her own little way saying "happy birthday!" These days all she does is jibber jabber and smile constantly! She makes everyone who is around her Happy! In these pictures she is wearing her "girly" camo outfits from Bass Pro Shops that her grandma gave her.

SKUNK IT IS!!!

We stumbled upon this wonderful costume while shopping, but not for her halloween costume. We put a monkey one on and then we put this skunk on and it was just too funny! I know I know ... why would I make my kid something smelly? But seriously it is so adorable on! IT looks like she knows she's a skunk because she was giving such a dirty look in this picture.
Last week raygen went for her 4 month shots and she weighed 17.1 lbs and was 26 1/2 inches long. She is in the 90th percentile for her age. The dr. said she was her fathers child...ha! She is healthy and smiles ALL THE TIME! she loves to jibber jabber. She is starting to grab objects and transfer them hand to hand and of course eat them. She makes me happy every day all day! I cannot wait to come home from work and see her! Now that I have to work full time I miss her all day, it is truly hard, but I remind myself that I am providing for her! The kid has to have a full closet, too...c'mon? hAAA! Ohh and she loves eating yogurt, pears, and rice cereals...I think she'll have a sippee cup soon, too!!!

The Wedding experience - 9-6-09

All the girls in the wagon
Family photo before the ceremony....can you see raygens boots?

Raygen and Shannon (The super hot bride). Sept 5,2009 I had the honor of being in one of my childhood friends wedding. Raygen had her yellow dress to match the wedding party. She even got to come in with the girls in the house before the wedding started. Raygen loves to watch people, colors, and movement in general. Raygen got to stay for the wedding ceremony and through dinner then grandma and grandpa took her home.

Raygen and her saucer

Raygen tries out her saucer. Of course it's a little big and all she wants to do is eat it. She is now teething so anything that gets close to her she tries to put it in her mouth to relieve her pain. I guess mom was an early teether, so it's usually passed down. She usually just likes to turn herself in circles in the saucer with her feet, but in this video she didn't want to do much! We've had 2 weeks of mom back to work full time and it's working out. The time I do have with her I savor so much more because it's limited. She's been going to bed around 10pm and waking between 5-6am every morning, (unless her teeth are bothering her) and then it's earlier. When she hears our voices come in a room she looks all over to locate either mom or dad! too cute! she is laughing and smiling all the time. I have a whole rubbermaid bin (big one) of clothes shes' already grown out of. She is basically 4 months, but fits in about 9 months...some 6 months, but for the most part 9 months and bigger. She is just really long so nothing snaps because they are all made for short babies.... or babies without super tall dads! haaa

Raygen is over 3 months old and Mom is going back to work now!!!!

These past three months have went by way too fast. I was so busy "mothering" that I can't even hardly think about how fast it went. Raygen has become such a "happy" baby. She loves to talk to everyone and laugh. She went on her first camping trip this past week with a whole bunch of family. We even saw a bear (she doesn't know that, though...she was sleeping). She has a whole bunch of cool camping clothes she got to wear...I have to say she got quite dirty, too. I am so sad to go back to work. I love spending time wither and seeing all her "new" developments. She loves bouncing in her bouncing chair and eating rice cereal. She recently had a case of thrush in her mouth so she got a new medicine, so she has to take two med's, which I hate giving such a small baby, but if it makes her feel better it's certainly o.k. with me. She weighed 15.5 lbs at 3 months, so she's quite the "big girl", but she is mostly just long...not chunky. I guess she takes after her daddy! We will see how she does without mommy around....I'm sure she'll miss me :(

July 7, 2009 - Raygens 1st Photo Shoot-8 weeks old

Here are some of the pictures taken during Raygens first photo shoot. She did about 200 photos, but I thought I would post a couple. We had some naked ones, but dad and I agreed she wouldn't appreciate us posting those. Raygen has been so much better since she has been taking her acid reflux medicine. She is a whole new baby! She is pulling 5-6 hr stretches at night and letting us get some sleep. It's awesome! She had her first 4th of July and fireworks. We went to a friends house on the lake and watched them. She jumped because she was scared the noise, so Ryan took her inside so she wouldn't be scared. She is 8 weeks old today. Thursday she gets her panels of her first shots....I hope she doesn't cry too much. I love our Dr. we have been with. He spends so much time with us and doesn't ever act bothered (and believe me I feel like I've bothered him a few times with questions). She has started to actually like her swing. She has to sleep upright to help her acid reflux on a thing called a "tucker sling".... google it if you haven't heard of it. Raygen also got to go spend time with her Great Great Grandma yesterday. ISn't that amazing that not only does she have a GREAT grandma, but she has a GREAT GREAT grandma... and she loves Raygen! I will post that picture soon!

Raygens' First Vacation to SAN DIEGO

Above pictures are Raygen and Daddy, Raygen and mommy and daddy, Raygen with Grandma Dawn and Grandpa Mat, and Raygen with her California Sunglasses that she picked out on vacation.
Raygen drove to San Diego last week and did very well on the car ride. We left at 4 a.m. and she slept most of the way. We only had to have to very brief stops for her to eat :) We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa, aunts and uncles, cousins and great grandma. She got to go to the beach numerous times and took some pretty rigorous hikes in the jogging stroller. She developed what we think/thought is colic, but we took her to the Dr. when we returned and it seems she may have acid reflux and has some medicine for it and it seems to be getting better. As of 2 days ago she is 12.5 pounds and is pretty long. She already is too long for her first bassinet. She definitely has her dad's genes in that case! She is such a doll and we enjoy each minute with her..even at 2 a.m.. Her dad is really attached to her as he gets mad if I try and take her away from him when he is trying to console her and get her to stop crying...so I have tried to be better about that!

RAYGEN THE RECALL BABY!!!!!

Raygen the Recall baby

Raygen attended the Recall party when we found out that the Entire BOFG board had been recalled, which hadn't happened in California History. Raygen was in my stomach the whole entire process, so she was part of the entire process. Dad dressed her in her new pink dress that he picked out for her. Even with her pink bow in her hair. TOO CUTE!!!!! She even put her new white lace up shoes on. She was the hit of the night!

Raygen Dutton has entered the world!!!!!

May12, 2009
Little Miss Raygen entered the world at 5:21 a.m. on may 12th in Sonora, Ca. She weighed 8 lbs. 11 ounces. She was a big baby! I started to feel contractions at 9:30 p.m. that were 5 min. apart then in an hour they went to 1-2 min. apart. We left the house at 11:15, checked in the hospital at 12:15 a.m. and she was born 5 hrs later. It was the most painful experience of my life. Two weeks later I can say that I'm starting to forget it, but I wouldn't have told you that in the next few days. We almost didn't get ahold of grampa and grandma as they wouldnt' answer their phone because they were snoozing. We have had a few all nighters since she has arrived. I feel like I'm studying for finals again, but without getting the sleep the next day!! She loves to eat! She hates her diaper changed and baths right now. She is what people call "Raygen the recall baby". As our lives the last 9 months have been involved in recalling the whole BOFG school board. To read more about it and it's success, click on this link:
New York times.....many more articles though....

Almost there!

Her last picture of her closet before she comes. One of the two customized shelves Ryan built for little Raygen The window treatment finally got put up with the classy tie back from Grandma Penny.

39 weeks according to my 1st due date the 11th (2 days). Or next Sunday the 17th would be my 40 weeks..Due date according to my 2nd due date they gave me. You can see that I am about to "pop". My students ask me every day, "when are you going to pop?" My timer has went off (the belly button). I tell that that, " I really wish I knew when I was going to pop". We'll just have to see. I am certainly ready to see this little girl!
This week I went for a run, ate spicy food, had my pressure points rubbed. Nothing worked! I think all of those things are myths! As you can see when I lay down I have to lay on my side with a pillow supporting my back/ stomach. My kitty Dutch likes to snuggle on the belly. I think he knows he has a little friend inside the tummy! I am thinking this will be my last "blog" before she comes and then I'll have some pictures of what she actually looks like. I have been getting a lot of contractions, but not consecutive enough to be anything. The Dr. says that is a good sign, though. We are going on a friends boat today, so we can relax and maybe go over some bumps to help me go into labor...ha! I'm not sure that I'm ready to endure that pain, but when are you ever really ready, right? I am ready to hold the baby in my arms, not in my stomach! Wish us good luck and say a prayer that she's healthy as can be! Love to all our friends and family.

The birth of the class....

Well, you can say that we are getting very close now! We have begun our classes on how to give birth, so now everything is ok and I can say goodbye and the baby will be hear soon! Isn't that how it works? Now that we are taking classes on how to give birth all the stress should go away? Yeah, anyways...
If you haven't figured it out yet, this is Ryan speaking. I have to say that it was quite an eye opening experience to sit in on these classes. Not that these classes or wrong or that I don't agree with them, but because it is quite a shock when you have somebody telling you how to calm down your wife who is in extreme pain and discomfort. So these people are telling me that a couple of positions are going to make everything better again? Well, I guess these are better than doing nothing. I'm quite confident that Dawnelle will do just fine in getting through this next step in her pregnancy, which is the end! She is a very tough young woman and has dealt with a lot of injuries in her past (unfortunately) that have caused her a lot of grief and pain. I have finished my credentialing program recently and we feel it is a blessing because now I am available to be there for her and prepare for that trip to the hospital! We hope that it is only one trip! Oops, I better get back to reading my pre and post labor informational sheets so I know what is coming here real soon! haaaaa

My support group!

Here is my daily support group. They don't even call me "coach" anymore. All I hear is "Preggo". They get a little scared that I'm going to go into labor....Every van away trip we have they have a plan on which one will drive, which girl will support me, which girl will call 911. It's so funny! THey have been great and they yell at me when I'm standing too long or when I get too close to line drives. I have resorted to only hitting infield practice now. The days of hitting fly balls to outfield are long gone. I leave that for my assistant coach. We are doing well in league. We beat the #1 team in league this week. We have 3 league games left and we're headed to l;ayoffs. But it seems that little mini dutton may accompany us....but hopefully not in my stomach! I am definitly ready for her to come out. My body isn't so comfortable right now to live in.
